Circular for Fancy Dress

"Each child is blessed with unique talents."

Dear Parents,

Greetings!

Your active participation is crucial for the success of this event. Please be informed that the 'Fancy Dress Program' for the students of Classes Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Prep, and I is tentatively scheduled on November 29th and 30th, 2024. Accordingly, you are advised to start preparing what your child will emulate. You are requested to fill out the attached Participation Performa and send it to the respective Class Teachers on or before October 3rd, 2024, so that they can help your child during the practice sessions in school. You are also requested to train your child to portray the character they are enacting through actions and words. Please note that no actions or words should depict any caste, creed, or religion; this way, we can promote the principles of our great nation, 'Viksit Bharat'. Also, if the parents wish to play a particular music or song, they may request the class teacher to do so with prior approval.

The class teachers will allocate appropriate roles for the 'Fancy Dress Programme' to your child/ward. While you send your consent for the given character, please ensure you communicate with your ward's class teacher for coordination through the 'Almanac'. The school will provide the script for the event. If interested, you are requested to fill in the 'Performa of Participation' for your ward and return it to your ward to submit to the school by October 3rd, 2024, to the respective Class Teachers so that we can make the necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of this programme.

We look forward to your continued support in all our future endeavours. Our commitment to your child's holistic development remains unwavering.

Best Regards

PRINCIPAL

A list of suggested characters is provided overleaf for your ready reference.

The rules and regulations of the 'Role Play' activity are as follows:

Each participant will be given a maximum of two minutes on the stage to enact their character.

The participants will be judged on the following criteria:

ü    Creativity/authenticity of the costume

ü    Originality of the character portrayed

ü    Confidence

ü    Presentation and Expression

Parents are responsible for their ward's costume and makeup and will bring him/her to school fully dressed for the event. Please note that participants should report to their respective class teachers 30 minutes before the scheduled time on the event day.

Kindly keep the criteria mentioned above in mind while teachers are training your child. We would appreciate it if your child participates in this programme, as it will boost their self-confidence and help eliminate stage fear. Further details will be intimated later.
