Greetings!
“The more you read, the more things you will know.
The more you learn, the more places you will go.”
So was reflected by the American children’s book author and cartoonist, Theodor Seuss Geisel, highlighting the importance of reading to learn and learning to know. News is an important and integral part of people’s lives. News reading activity is a healthy habit that encourages the tutee to improve their reading skills and enhance general awareness. In this competition, the evolving and igniting minds of classes VI to VIII will read the news script with clear pronunciation, fluency, appearance and confidence.
We are enthralled to announce that our institution, Delhi Public School Gaya is intending to execute a new initiative of ‘Inter-House News Reading Competition’ on 12th August, 2023 for the students of classes VI-VIII. The event is aiming to instill the sense of reading and honing the oratory skills among the students through simulation of News Reading like professionals. We espouse all the participants to capitalize this opportunity to challenge themselves in finding their new selves.

Note: The students of Class VI will be the audience.
Selection Procedure:
- Each Housemaster/Housemistress will submit 4 names, after the consultation with the concerned English Teachers, from their Houses to Mr. Akram Reza by 09-08-2023 (latest).
- Each participant will be allotted a maximum of 3 minutes to present their allotted news scripts (State, National and International, Sports, Business, Weather forecast).
