At DPS Gaya, we believe in fostering a strong sporting culture, and swimming is no exception. Through this championship, we aim to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among our students. Let the waves of enthusiasm surge as we come together to celebrate the joy of swimming and the spirit of healthy competition.

We are excited to announce the eagerly awaited Inter House Swimming Championship, where talent and determination will take center stage. This prestigious event is open to both boys and girls across three categories: III to V, VI to VIII, and IX to XII.

The championship is open for the students who are already taking swimming classes in the school. The students who take swimming classes outside the school campus may also participate, but they would have to show a certificate/slip of the same.

Rules & Regulations (For Swimming)

• A student can participate in a maximum of two events.
• Each participant should be in proper swimming costume. Caps are compulsory for girls.
• It is necessary to touch the finishing point (i.e., the wall) in order to qualify for a position.
• In the relay, each swimmer must touch the finishing point before the next participant enters the pool.
• Participants should report to the venue 5 minutes prior to the events, wearing the proper costume at the venue.
• Changes in the participant's name are not allowed during the competition.
• All events will be conducted on a Time Trial Basis, and positions will be awarded accordingly.
• If any participant does not turn up during the competition, the trial points of that house will be deducted.

General Rules (Swimming)
The Three Categories for both Boys& Girls as follows:
Classes- III to V
Classes -VI to VIII
Classes -IX to XII
A Student participating in one category will participate in the same category in all other (Inter-House Swimming Championship) throughout the year.

Events for Swimming are as follows:-
1. For Classes – [III to V](3 Boys + 3 Girls From Each House For Each Event)
a) 25m Free Style.
b) 25m Kick Board.
c) 50m free style.
d) 50x4m Free Style Relay.

2. For Classes – [VI to VIII](3 Boys + 3 Girls From Each House For Each Event)
a) 25m Free Style.
b) 25m Kick Board.
c) 50m free style.
d) 50x4m Free Style Relay.

3. For Classes – [IX to XII](3 Boys + 3 Girls From Each House For Each Event)
a) 25m Free Style.
b) 25m Kick Board.
c) 50m free style.
d) 50x4m Free Style Relay.
