Greetings!

“If you can’t communicate and talk to other people and get across your ideas, you’re giving up your potential” so was told by Warren Buffet on the importance of communication and good speech for the effective and holistic development of a person.

We are pleased to announce that our school will be organizing an Extempore Competition on 04.08.2023. The event will be beneficial for all the interested students who want to amplify their oratory and communicative skills which will be essential for their overall development. We enthuse all the participants to seize the opportunity and participate wholeheartedly in the event.

NOTE: The students of class IX will be the audience.

Selection Procedure:

• Each Housemaster/Housemistress will submit 4 names from their respective houses to Mr. Senaritra Guha by 02.08.2023. The selection process must be comprehensive and rigorous.
• The Participants will be from Classes IX-XII.
• Each Participant will be allotted a minimum of 2 minutes to present their speech. The topics will be given 3 minutes prior to the time of the presentation.
• The topics will be divulged on the day of the event to the students. Therefore all the students are hereby advised to be prepared for diverse topics.
• Judges’ decision will be final and irrevocable.

• Content and relevance to the theme
• Clarity and coherence of the speech
• Articulation and Pronunciation
• Body Language and stage presence
• Overall impact and audience engagement
