Earth Day Celebration: Pledges for Sustainability on the Earth

On April 22, 2024, DPS Gaya celebrated Earth Day involving students from Pre-Nursery to Grade 2, including the junior wing. The day was filled with various activities to raise awareness about the environment. The Pre-nursery and Nursery pupils in the primary and junior wings participated in a handprint activity, adding colourful imprints to scrapbooks. The Prep class creatively depicted the Earth using tearing and pasting techniques. Class 1 also contributed to the handprint project, emphasizing the importance of unity in preserving the planet. Grade 2 students entered a unique single-handed handprint project to symbolize individual responsibility. Throughout the event, the teachers enlightened the students on the significance of environmental stewardship. The esteemed Principal Sir commended the efforts of both the students and teachers for making the Earth Day celebration an admirable event. Promoting harmony with nature and the Earth is essential as a green future is prosperous.
