Tribal Empowerment Campaign
August 03rd, 2023
The tribal population of India, residing in the serene and lush green forests, has long been the custodian of our countrys rich biodiversity. However, their development and inclusion in society have been neglected for decades. Recognizing the need for inclusive growth and empowering these marginalized communities, Delhi Public School Gaya organized the Tribal Empowerment Campaign on August 3, 2023, in conjunction with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, and the Central Board of Secondary Education. The campaign, held to commemorate 75 years of Indias independence as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of classes IX and XI. Engaging in activities such as Painting, Poster Making, Slogan Writing, and Tree Plantation, the young minds ardently embraced the significance of empowering the tribal population without exploiting the invaluable natural resources. The event served as an eye-opener, enlightening the participants about the urgent need to preserve and uplift indigenous communities. Mr. Satyendra Mishra, the esteemed Principal of the school, emphasized the importance of nurturing and empowering the tribal populace. He lauded the efforts of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the CBSE, recognizing their endeavour to ignite the youths understanding of the vital role tribal empowerment plays in nation-building. This event not only celebrated Indias freedom but also shed light on the symbiotic relationship between our tribal communities and the environment. It underscored the pressing need for collaborative efforts to ensure their welfare, while also safeguarding our natural heritage for future generations to cherish and protect.
