DPS Gaya become Runner Up in CBSE East Zone Taekwondo Championship 2022-23

Delhi Public School Gaya, in its unwavering pursuit of heralding a legacy of sports, participated in the CBSE East Zone Taekwondo Championship 2022-23, held at Sunbeam School, Bawatpur, Varanasi from December 1 to December 4, 2022. The supremely competitive championship witnessed zealous participation from 1100 participants representing 237 schools from the East Zone. Delhi Public School, Gaya reigned supreme at the highly prestigious taekwondo championship. It stamped its preponderance by capturing 1 gold, 2 silver and 10 bronze, securing the position of Runner up in the championship. The first position was clinched by the host, Sunbeam School, Bawatpur, Varanasi while Sunbeam School, Lahartara staked its claim to the third position. Pro-Vice Chairman, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar and Principal, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra congratulated the Taekwondo Team of the school for such a remarkable accomplishment. They heaped encomiums on the entire Physical Education Department, specifically the mentor of the Taekwondo team, Mr. Chandeshwar.
