DPS Gaya Hosts CBSE Cluster-III Badminton Championship

DPS Gaya inaugurated the three-day CBSE Cluster-III Badminton Championship (Boys and Girls) 2024-25 on September 20, 2024. The event, being hosted for the first time in Gaya district, was officially opened by the chief guest, Shri Kshatranil Singh, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Magadh Range, Gaya, through the traditional lighting of the lamp. The presence of a special guest further adorned the inauguration, social activist Mrs Aarty Singh, CBSE observer Mr Aqib Zaved Khan, tournament chief referee Mr Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, and the honourable Principal of DPS Gaya Principal Mr Satyendra Mishra. After the flag hoisting and a vibrant march-past by participants from 45 schools across Bihar and Jharkhand, the chief guest declared the tournament open. In their addresses, the chief guest inspired the young athletes with his powerful message of giving their best, stressing the importance of discipline and dedication, while the principal sir emphasized the values of hard work and sincerity as the path to success. The event also featured a captivating classical dance performance by the students, adding a touch of cultural richness to the ceremony. The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to the dignitaries, followed by the national anthem, marking a successful and inspiring start to the championship.
