Inter-state Badminton Championships Grand Finale at DPS Gaya

The closing ceremony of the Yonex-Sunrise East Zone Inter-State Team and Individual Badminton Championship 2024 was held at the Lord Buddha Badminton Academy, DPS Gaya Campus, on September 8, 2024. As the chief guest, Bihars Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Kumar Sinha, graced the occasion. The competition was jointly organized by the Badminton Association of India, Bihar Badminton Association, DPS Gaya and Lord Buddha Badminton Academy and featured teams from across the region. During the ceremony, the Deputy Chief Minister distributed prizes to the winners and encouraged the participants to persevere in their efforts. He also commended DPS Gaya for providing top-notch facilities, which played a key role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the championship. Several prominent figures attended the event, including Mr K N Jaiswal, Vice President of the Bihar Badminton Association, and Mr Rajan Sijuar, Secretary of the Gaya District Badminton Association. Mr Sanjeev Kumar, Pro-Vice Chairman of DPS Gaya, and Mr Satyendra Mishra, Principal of DPS Gaya, also attended the ceremony. The winners were awarded trophies and certificates, and the Deputy Chief Minister praised their hard work and teamwork. The event highlighted the significance of nurturing young talent and promoting sports development at the grassroots level.
