National Space Day

To confine our attention to terrestrial matters would be to limit the human spirit. Stephen Hawking DPS Gaya organised a quiz, project, and painting competition for students of classes VI to XI to engage and inspire young minds on the theme Touching Lives While Touching The Moon: Indias Space Saga to commemorate the success of Chandraayan-3, which accomplished the safe landing of Vikram Lander at Shiv Shakti point and deployment of Pragyan Rover on the lunar surface. There was a painting and a project competition, and the works were displayed. Simultaneously, a quiz was conducted. It started with a written round. The shortlisted candidates were grouped into four teams by chits. This was followed by a rapid-fire round and a visual round. Space riddles were asked of the audience, who reciprocated enthusiastically. Winner under project category: Ansh Raj (VII A) and Dipanshu Raj ( VII A) Winner under painting Category: First prize : Ishita Anand ( IX G) Second Prize: Swati Kumari ( IX H) Third prize: Piyush Kumar ( VI F) Winners of the Quiz Competition : First Prize: Advay Singh ( X A ) and Aditya Kumar ( IX A) Second Prize: Amritanshu Aishwarya ( IX F) and Gaurav Kumar ( VIII I) Hon. Principal Sir interacted with the participants and witnessed the conduction of the quiz. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a round of applause for all participants and winners.
