Interhouse Solo Vocal and Instrumental Music Competition: A Celebration of Musical Talent Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything. The Interhouse Solo Vocal and Instrumental Music Competition, a melting pot of musical talents, was held at Delhi Public School Gaya on 16 July 2024. Students of classes VI to XII from all four houses – Aryabhatta, Ashoka, Buddha, and Chanakya, showcased a diverse range of musical brilliance in Solo Vocal and Instrumental Music. Participants were judged by a panel of music teachers on parameters such as technique, expression, vocal quality, and stage presence. The competition concluded with the announcement of winners from each house, recognizing the hard work and talent of the students. From Aryabhatta House, Samayra Singh (VII B), Alfia Anwar (VII G) and Jagrav (VI I) won first, second and third places, respectively, in Solo Vocal. In contrast, Rajvir Kumar Singh (X I), Avinash Bharti (X I), and Saanvi Vijay (VII I) won first, second, and third place, respectively, in Instrumental. In Ashoka House, first, second and third places in Solo Vocal were bagged by Shreyany Navin (VII C), Advay Singh (X A) and Aradhya Ansh (VII J). On the other hand, Ankur Singh (IX B) and Kishlay Kumar (XII A) won first and second places in Instrumental. From Buddha House, Khatravath Rishitha (VI H), Darish Anwar (X E) and Prabal Kumar Gupta (VIII C) secured first, second and third places in Solo Vocal. In contrast, Suveksha Sarth (XII A) and Rudra Pratap (XI D) won first and second place in Instrumental. From Chanakya House, Anushka Singh (X I) took first place, Soumya Keshri (VII G) second, and Arushi Verma (VII B) third in solo vocal. The event showcased the inherent musical potential of the participants, which, if properly channelled, can propel them to greater heights of success. The esteemed Principal Sir underscored the Interhouse Solo Vocal and Instrumental Music Competition truly showcased the students exceptional talent and hard work.
