DPS Gayas Interhouse Mathematics Quiz Event

Albert Einstein said, Mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Mathematics is inextricably linked to human lives; it is ingrained in the conscience of every human being. Life becomes inconsequential without the knowledge of Mathematics. It augments students analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Quiz is an integral aspect of Delhi Public School Gayas curriculum. It develops a sense of inquisitiveness in students and strengthens their capacity for self-assessment. Moreover, it fosters teamwork and healthy competitiveness, uniting our students in their pursuit of knowledge. Delhi Public School Gaya organized an Interhouse Mathematics Quiz Competition on 15 July 2024 to promote the expediency of mathematical literacy among students. Students from classes VI to XII showcased exceptional enthusiasm and talent across four challenging rounds: General Round, Pictorial Round, Rapid Fire Round, and Buzzer Round. These rounds not only tested their knowledge but also honed their quick thinking and decision-making under pressure. In the wake of intense competition among the four houses, Chanakya House emerged triumphant, securing the first position with exemplary performance. Buddha House and Aryabhatta House followed closely in second and third places, respectively. Notably, Ashoka House also emerged as a worthy competitor and stood fourth. The esteemed Principal Sir felicitated the position holders with certificates and medals. He underlined the significance of Mathematics literacy in our lives and encouraged students to delve deep into the broader realm of Mathematics. He appreciated the efforts of the Department of Mathematics for the smooth conduct of the Interhouse Mathematics Quiz Competition.
