SPIC MACAY SYMPHONY MEET 2024

SPIC MACAY SYMPHONY MEET 2024 was held at DPS Gaya on 20 June 2024 to promote India’s rich cultural heritage and commemorate World Music Day which is celebrated on 21 June every year. The event commenced with the traditional Lighting of the Lamp Ceremony, symbolizing a spiritual initiation. Subsequently both the music maestros, Pt. Rupak Kulkarni and Pt. Mithilesh Kumar Jha were warmly welcomed with green gestures, each receiving plants in pots. The school auditorium echoed with enchanting flute performances by Pt. Rupak Kulkarni, a maestro of the flute, accompanied by Pt. Mithilesh Kumar Jha, a renowned tabla exponent. The soul-stirring symphony of flute and tabla inimitably captivated the audience. Notably students of DPS Gaya soulfully presented a group song, earning great appreciation from both the music virtuoso. After their outstanding performances, the honorable Principal of DPS Gaya, Mr. Satyendra Mishra encouraged the young generation to strive to preserve the legacy of Indian classical art and music. On the other hand, the respected Pro-Vice Chairman Sir, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar appreciated the initiative undertaken by SPIC MACAY for promoting our rich cultural heritage and exhorted students to uphold this legacy.
