Building Awareness of Good Touch and Bad Touch

DPS Gaya continuously takes steps to ensure the safety and well-being of its students by integrating lessons on good touch and bad touch from Pre Nursery to Class 2. Our teachers, through extensive storytelling sessions in DPS Gaya as well as in its Junior Wing have not only conveyed the importance of recognising safe and unsafe touches but have also emphasised the role of trusted individuals such as parents, teachers, and grandparents. This reassures children that they have a safe space to turn to for help. Our teachers have empowered students by enlightening them about the POCSO Act, ensuring they understand the seriousness of protecting themselves from harm. Equipping them with essential knowledge, teachers have also shared the child helpline number, instilling in them the confidence to seek assistance when needed. Teachers utilised multimedia tools to reinforce these vital lessons, including engaging PowerPoint presentations and the impactful video "Komal," effectively raising awareness among the impressionable young minds. Through this comprehensive approach, DPS Gaya always creates a safe and nurturing environment where every child feels empowered to speak up and seek help if they encounter any form of abuse.
