May 02nd, 2024

The Interhouse Elocution Competition was held on May 2, 2024, at Delhi Public School Gaya. The competition showcased the power of words and their impact on people. Students from classes VI to VIII represented their respective houses and delivered impressive speeches. The participants were judged on various parameters, such as content delivery, fluency, intonation, and impact. All the participants showed immense enthusiasm and gave their best performances. After intense competition among the participants, Ashoka House emerged as the winner, followed by Buddha House in second place. Aryabhatta and Chanakya House jointly secured the third position in the competition. The Honourable Principal Sir congratulated all the position holders and emphasized the importance of oratory skills for the holistic development of students. Joseph Conrad famously said, “He who wants to persuade should put his trust not in the right argument, but in the right word. The power of sound has always been greater than the power of sense.” The Interhouse Elocution Competition proved the truth of these words.
