International Labour Day: Honouring the Contributions of Workers

America’s prominent civil rights activist, Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.” International Labour Day underscores the indispensability of labourers in nation building and economic prosperity. The day serves us a platform to express solidarity with all the workers for their perseverance and unwavering dedication. DPS Gaya, along with its Junior Wing celebrated International Labour Day on 1 May, 2024 to pay obeisance to the labourers all around the world. The little ones of Nursery to Class I assiduously participated in the activities conducted to honour the organized and unorganized workforce on the International Labour Day 2024. Artistically created greeting cards were offered to the non-teaching staff of the school as a gesture of appreciation for their relentless support and dedication towards the school. Their little palms dipped in vibrant colours left a mesmerizing imprint on papers, thanking the support staff of the school. The honourable Principal Sir underscored the significance of the day and emphasized that every work has a dignity associated with it. On the other hand, the respected Pro-Vice Chairman highlighted the historical background of the International Labour Day and acknowledged the invaluable contributions of labourers across all sectors.
