Ram Navami Celebration: Celebrating the Ideals of Lord Ram

आनृशंस्यमनुक्रोशः श्रुतं शीलं दमः शमः। राघवं शोभयन्त्येते षड्गुणाः पुरुषोत्तमम्॥ Non violence, compassion, learning, unimpeachable integrity, self-control and tranquility are the six ideals that define Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram. Ram Navami not only commemorates the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram, but also celebrates the ideals exemplified by him. Delhi Public School Gaya and its Junior Wing celebrated Ram Navami with spiritual fervour. Joyous echoes of Ram Navami celebration resonated in the school premises. The budding scholars from Pre-Nursery to Class I meticulously coloured worksheets of Lord Ram with vibrant colours and chanted soulful Ram bhajans. Adorned in the attires of Shri Ram, Maa Sita, Laxman and Hanuman, they embodied timeless virtues of righteousness and integrity. On the other hand, students from classes III to VIII participated in the special assembly to celebrate the essence and spirituality of Ram Navami. The celebration commenced with the chanting of sholka on Lord Ram which aroused spiritual awakening of students and teachers. Hindi and English speeches presented by students underscored cultural and religious significance of Ram Navami. Students participated in devotional songs and dances, highlighting the enriching ideals of Lord Ram. The honourable Principal Sir, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra encouraged students to inculcate the teachings and ideals of Lord Ram in their life. In his address, he underscored the religious and cultural significance of Ram Navami. On the other hand, the respected Pro-Vice Chairman Sir, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar inspired students to reflect on the timeless teaching and ideals of Lord Ram and imbibe his noble virtues.
