Eid Celebrations: Showcasing Cultural Diversity of India

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting for Muslims across the globe. Ramadan holds a great spiritual significance in Islam. The Eid-ul-Fitr celebration at Delhi Public School Gaya was celestial and an enriching experience for the students. The auspicious occasion celebrated at school reflects the commitment of the school to foster communal harmony within the school premises. The school conducted an engaging ‘Storytelling Session’ on 9 April 2024 for the students of Pre-Nursery to Grade I. The session graced by the Headmistress, Ms. Afshan Jabeen Baba, highlighted the essence of Eid-ul-Fitr. On the other hand, all the enthusiastic kids of the Junior Wing participated in the ‘Card Making Activity’ to foster the spirit of Eid-ul-Fitr. They artistically designed Eid Mubarak Cards. A special assembly was organized to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on 10 April 2024. The auspicious celebration highlighted the cultural significance of the festival in Islamic teachings and fostered a sense of diversity and inclusivity among students. Students adorned in traditional costumes exhibited remarkable performances based on the theme of Eid-ul-Fitr. Speeches presented by a student and a teacher provided a deeper insight into the cultural significance of Eid-ul-Fitr for Muslims around the world. Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra, the respected Principal of the school advocated to embrace unity in diversity, the cornerstone of India’s profound legacy. He also highlighted the cultural significance of Eid-ul-Fitr. The honourable Pro-Vice Chairman, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar reaffirmed the commitment of the school to promote communal harmony in the school atmosphere and highlighted historical perspective of Eid-ul-Fitr .
