Basant Panchami - Embracing the vibrancy of spring and knowledge
February 13th, 2024
Basant Panchami, a festival heralding the arrival of spring and dedicated to the goddess Saraswati, holds significant importance. In celebration of this auspicious occasion, DPS Gaya has meticulously organized a series of engaging activities for young learners spanning from Pre-Nursery to Class 2. The festivities included exciting craft activities where toddlers are immersed in creative endeavours. Nursery and Pre-Nursery students have beautifully coloured depictions of Goddess Saraswati, while Class Prep engaged in flower craft on scrapbooks. Class 1 and 2 students demonstrated their artistic skills by drawing and colouring prominent symbols associated with Maa Saraswati, such as the Veena, Lotus, and Swan. The junior wing students also contributed to the festive atmosphere by creating delightful crafts in their scrapbooks. These hands-on experiences have not only stimulated creativity but also fostered enthusiasm for the festival among the students. The activities provided a valuable platform for these young stars to learn, create, and embrace the joyous arrival of spring. Principal Sir, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra commended the children for their efforts in nurturing creativity, recognizing the potential to shape them into well-rounded individuals.
