Celebration of 75th Republic Day

Dr. B R Ambedkar said, Constitution is not a mere lawyers document, it is a vehicle of life, and its spirit is always the spirit of age. Republic Day marks the ratification of India as a sovereign republic in the wake of adoption of Indias constitution on January 26, 1950. The constitution of India acts as the fulcrum of democracy in India. Delhi Public School Gaya celebrated the 75th Republic Day with unparalleled vibrancy. Patriotic fervour was conspicuously palpable on the premises of DPS Gaya. The celebration assumed enhanced vitality by the gracious presence of the Guest of Honour, Dr. S Jamal, Principal, Magadh College of Education, Gaya. The unfurling of tri-colour followed by soulful rendition of the National Anthem augmented the spirit of patriotism. Close on the heels of the flag hoisting ceremony, the Inter-House Republic Day March Past Competition showcased unity, discipline and patriotism which upheld the spirit of the Republic Day celebration. Ashoka House secured the first position followed by Aryabhatta House and Chanakya House at second and third positions respectively. Subsequently, the esteemed Guest of Honour and the honourable Principal of the school were accorded floral welcome. Patriotic song, dance and speeches in Hindi and English aptly showcased the spirit of Republic Day celebration. Honourable Principal sir, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra in his address underscored the venerable status of the constitution of India. He highlighted the significance of Republic Day and encouraged students to become the harbinger of a new India. Respected Pro-Vice Chairman sir, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar underlined the legacy of Indian constitution as the voice of the worlds largest democracy. He also encouraged students to uphold the sanctity of our constitution.
