Maa Durga is the Chit-Shakti, the power of consciousness, out of which the cosmos coalesces as matter, life and mind. Goddess Durga represents the power of the Supreme Being that preserves moral order and righteousness in the creation. On October 16, 2023, Delhi Public School Gaya and its Junior Wing joyfully celebrated Durga Puja. The cultural and devotional extravaganza commenced with the lighting of the divine lamp, signifying the energy of Maa Durga. The budding performers of Pre-nursery to class II enchanted everyone with mesmerizing chanting of Durga Shlokas. A soulful rendition of Jai Maa Devi by the school choir set the mood for the occasion. A slew of enthralling presentations included speeches, songs and dance performances which reinforced the eternal message of triumph of good over evil. It upheld the character trait of Maa Durga as Shakti, the mighty warrior who can rid the world of all immoralities, annihilate the negative forces within us and establish a sense of righteousness. In his speech, Mr. S. K. Mishra, the honourable principal of the school, emphasized on the significance of the spirit of sharing and caring for the less fortunate and the need for fostering the spirit of philanthropy to enlighten students of human values and become messengers of love, harmony and brotherhood. He appreciated students and mentors for ushering the season of festivities in such a magnificent and meaningful way.
