Hazards of Social Media and Internet

Undoubtedly the use of social media and internet has witnessed an astronomical surge over the last two decades, precipitating far reaching ramifications for todays youth. Despite innumerable benefits of social media and internet, its potential hazards can not be swept under the carpet. The Youth Club of Delhi Public School Gaya conducted an enlightening session on ‘Hazards of Social Media and Internet’ on October 14, 2023. The session was primarily aimed to highlight existential hazards of social media and Internet such as addiction, loss of productivity, mental illness, cyber bullying and online predating. The session turned out be immensely productive for the students. Mr. Satyendra Mishra, the honourable Principal of DPS Gaya extensively elaborated the catastrophic repercussions of unrestricted use of social media and internet. He urged students to use social networking sites and internet perspicaciously to stave off any threat to their lives.
