Delhi Public School Gaya celebrated the spirit of Gandhi Jayanti with a resounding commitment to cleanliness and civic values through a Swachhata Abhiyan. Under the esteemed guidance of Principal Sir, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra, the event exemplified the importance of Mahatma Gandhi teachings. Students, driven by a deep sense of responsibility, engaged enthusiastically in cleaning their surroundings, underscoring their dedication to a cleaner and greener environment. As a part of this heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation, the children not only cleaned but also artistically expressed their reverence. They drew symbols of the charkha, representing Gandhi advocacy of self-reliance and sustainable living. Spectacles of Gandhiji and pictures depicting various episodes from his life adorned the walls, reminding everyone of his extraordinary journey. Furthermore, students were reminded of the timeless message of peace, harmony, and non-violence represented by the three monkeys of Gandhiji - See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Principal Sir, Mr. S. K. Mishra, applauded the multifaceted efforts of our young leaders. He emphasized that cleanliness is not merely a habit but a way of life deeply rooted in Gandhian principles. He underscored how these initiatives align with DPS Gaya commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also socially responsible citizens. DPS Gaya, through such initiatives, continues to impart values that will shape our students into conscientious and socially aware individuals, reflecting the teachings and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi.
