September 05th, 2023
Delhi Public School Gaya and its Junior Wing (City Branch) celebrated Teachers Day on September 5, 2023, to commemorate the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first vice president and second president of independent India, and at the same time, to pay rich obeisance to all the teachers. The school also celebrated Krishna Janmashtami on the same day with unparalleled effervescence. Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The teachings of Lord Krishna become even more pertinent in an age of heightened confrontations in the world. Embracing Lord Krishna can take one closer to inner peace and tranquility. The celebration commenced with the garlanding of Dr. Radhakrishnan’s portrait. A Group Dance on Krishna Janmashtami by the students of classes VI to VIII, executed with extraordinary finesse, provided a spiritual experience for the audience. The speech presented by the Head Girl was a heartfelt tribute to all the teachers who play a significant role in shaping the future of a nation. Following the speech of the Head Girl, a Bhajan on Krishna Janmashtami, presented by the students of classes VI to VIII, transported the audience to the realm of divinity.
