The Yonex-Sunrise All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament

The Yonex-Sunrise All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament (U-13) was formally inaugurated on June 28 at the Lord Buddha Badminton Academy, Delhi Public School Gaya Campus. The chief guest at the formal inauguration ceremony of the tournament was I.A.S. Mr. Mayank Warwade, Divisional Commissioner, Magadh Region, Special Guest, IPS, Mr. Kshatranil Singh, Inspector General of Police, Magadh Region, and K.K. Sharma, Observer, Badminton Association of India and Joint Secretary, Rajasthan Badminton Association, Founder of Lord Buddha Badminton Academy and Director of DPS Gaya, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, and Principal, Mr. Satyend Mishra, did the honour. The event was inaugurated by the Organising Secretary and General Secretary of the Bihar Badminton Association, Mr. K.N. Jaiswal, in his welcome speech, after which the guests formally inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. After this, the visitors were welcomed by offering bouquets. Shri K.K. Sharma, in his inaugural speech, first congratulated Lord Buddha Badminton Academy for organising the tournament and extended his best wishes to all the participating players. Appreciating the efforts of the founder of the academy and director of DPS Gaya, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, the chief guest, Mr. Mayank, said in his address that it is a matter of great pride that this prestigious national tournament is being organised in Gaya city. After the address, the players and officials participating in the tournament were introduced to the guests, and then each team was photographed with the chief guest. In the end, the chief guest, Mr. Mayank, formally declared the tournament open. The function ended with a vote of thanks by Joint Organising Secretary Mr. Rajan Sijuar, Secretary, Gaya District Badminton Association, and Vice President, Bihar Badminton Association. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, founder of Lord Buddha Badminton Academy and director of DPS Gaya, expressed his gratitude to the incoming guests for coming to the inauguration ceremony. He has wished for the success of the tournament while giving his best wishes to the participating players. It is noteworthy that for the first time, a national-level tournament is being organised in the field of badminton in Gaya district.
