World Heritage Day 2023

World Heritage Day, also known as the International Day for Monuments and Sites is celebrated every year on April 18. This day is aimed at raising awareness about the importance of cultural heritage and prioritizing the need to preserve historical sites and monuments across the globe. The day celebrates the uniqueness and diversity of cultural heritage across the world and inspires people to cherish and preserve it for future generations. Delhi Public School Gaya celebrated World Heritage Day on April 18, 2023. Students from Pre-Nursery to Class II inquisitively participated in the activities organized on this day. The teachers showed visuals of some of the famous world heritage sites to the students and elaborately explained about them. The tiny tots of Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Prep coloured renowned heritage sites such as Sanchi Stupa and Red Fort in the worksheets provided to them and subsequently pasted these coloured architectural marvels in their scrapbooks. Students of classes I and II assiduously participated in ‘Show and Tell Activity’. Each student brought a picture of a famous heritage site and spoke 4 to 5 sentences about it. Honourable Principal Sir, Mr. Satyendra Mishra underscored the centrality of this important day and emphasized upon the cultural and historical significance of world heritage sites for a nation while respected Pro-Vice Chairman Sir, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar encouraged students to step forward to preserve the uniqueness and diversity of our cultural and historical sites and gain a deeper understanding of different perspectives of various cultural heritage existing in our country.
