Fancy Dress Competition for Class I - ABCD

February 17th, 2023

George Bernard Shaw said, "Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine, and at last, you create what you will.” Contrary to the widespread perception of purely being a fun activity, fancy dress competition provides a platform to preschoolers to exhibit their imaginative and oratory acumen on the stage. After the resounding success of the first day of the Fancy Dress Competition, Delhi Public School Gaya organized the second day of the competition on February 17, 2023, with more heightened exuberance. The morning shift of the competition witnessed incredible performances from the students of I A, B, C and D. To begin with, Principal sir, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra was accorded with a floral welcome followed by the lighting of the auspicious lamp. “Welcome Song” presented by the students of class II enthralled the audience. Young toddlers of class I dressed-up themselves as different characters and enlightened the audience about them with a palatable touch of oratory skills. The audience marveled at the unmatched portrayal of "Living Legends" and "Characters from the Novels of Jane Austen, William Shakespeare and Charles Dickens". Principal sir in his address extolled the young toddlers for their remarkable performance on the stage. He reaffirmed that education is not only the aggregation of degrees or diplomas, but also how immaculately we perform in our day-to-day affairs. He applauded the untiring efforts of teachers and headmistresses for inculcating conviction in young kids, which eventually empowers them to perform on the stage with clinical precision. Pro-Vice Chairman DPS Gaya, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar lauded the superlative confidence, stage presence and positive demeanor of these young toddlers while portraying various characters on the stage.
