Fancy Dress Competition for Pre-Nursery and Nursery

Helen Keller said, “The most beautiful world is entered through imagination.” Apart from dressing up as different characters or objects, Fancy Dress Competition assumes a great significance for the young kids in their formative years in school. It substantially fortifies the imaginative ingenuity of young toddlers through impersonation of the individuality of characters or objects they portray on the stage. Delhi Public School Gaya organized the first day of the “Fancy Dress Competition” on February 16, 2023 with unrestrained alacrity. At the outset, Principal sir, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra was felicitated with a bouquet followed by the lighting of the divine lamp. The soulful rendition of the “Welcome Song” by the students of class II enraptured the audience. Day one(morning shift) of the competition witnessed charismatic performances of the tiny tots of Pre-Nursery and Nursery. The young kids dressed-up as various characters or objects and spoke about them with the finesse of oratory skills. Young toddlers of Pre-Nursery beautifully bedecked themselves as plants, flowers, characters from nursery rhymes and imaginary characters and creatures. Principal sir in his address applauded the young kids for performing on the stage with exceptional confidence. He asserted that education is not just the accumulation of degrees or diplomas, but also how we perform in our day-to-day life. He applauded the relentless efforts teachers and headmistresses for instilling conviction in young kids, enabling them to perform so immaculately on the stage. Pro-Vice Chairman DPS Gaya, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar commended the confidence, stage presence and creative prowess of young toddlers.
