Aryabhatta Annual House Function

Delhi Public School Gaya as it celebrated the “Annual Aryabhatta House Function” on February 10, 2023 with unparalleled exuberance. The cultural spectacle premised on the theme of “Panchbhoota” was adorned by the gracious presence of the Chief Guest of the event, Shri Kumar Mayank, Commandant, 159 Battalion, CRPF, Gaya, the Guest of Honour, Shri Ram Naresh Sharma, Chairman, Magadh Educational Trust, Gaya, Pro- Vice Chairman, DPS Gaya, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Principal, DPS Gaya, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra and other treasured invitees. At the outset, Principal, Delhi Public School Gaya, accorded a floral welcome to the Chief Guest, Shri Kumar Mayank and the Guest of Honour, Shri Ram Naresh Sharma. With all the panache, the programme embarked on its exhilarating journey with the soulful rendition of the Welcome Song “Rig Veda”. All the distinguished guests then illuminated the divine lamp to provide an auspicious beginning to the cultural extravaganza. Welcome Dance “Shakti Rupena Samsthita” to revere Maa Durga who is the embodiment of power and resides in all existence in the form of energy. The song “Har Har Shambhu” filled the auditorium with inimitable effervescence with its dynamic presentation. The yoga performance “Anadi Ananta” dedicated to Lord Shiva who is beyond the realms of space and time, mesmerized the audience with its elegant and powerful postures. The annual report presented by the Principal, DPS Gaya highlighted the school’s achievements in both academic and co-curricular activities. He lauded the indefatigable efforts of the management, teachers and parents for the school’s enviable journey of success. He assured parents of ascending to even greater height of success in future. Close on the heels of the presentation of the Annual Report, all the achievers of the Aryabhatta House were awarded with certificates, medals and trophies in various categories. In the wake of the award ceremony, the Chief Guest, Shri Kumar Mayank addressed the audience. He heaped encomiums on the school for establishing itself as a center of excellence. He said, “As the clay is moulded into various shapes, teachers also shape the future of students.” He also underlined the role of parents in the development of their children. The dance “Ganga Avataran” beautifully depicted the liberation of Maa Ganga from the jata of Lord Shiva. The Song “Our Mother” riveted the audience with its mellifluous renditions. The song was dedicated to the selfless service of Mother Teresa towards orphaned and impoverished children. The English Skit “Enlightenment” lent credence to the discovery of the self through the attainment of rationality. The dance performance titled “The Journey of Nature” underlined the existence of nature in various forms such as plants, animals and landscapes. The dance truly captivated the audience with the stirring depiction of the theme of the event. The Hindi Skit “Gayasur ki Katha” underscored the historical and mythological significance of Gaya. The skit provided deeper understanding of the mythological existence of Gayasur and Vishnupad Temple. The cultural extravaganza culminated with the Vote of Thanks followed by the National Anthem.
