Winter Film Festival 2023

Films are instrumental in providing an opportunity to explore different perspectives of life. It breaks through the barriers of class and culture, and thereby entertain, educate and inspire people in different ways. Goethe Institute, Kolkata in collaboration with Delhi Public School, Gaya organized German Film Festival 2023 from 31st January to 1st February 2023. The film festival was presided over by the Resource Person, Ms. Sushmita Sinha and Project Coordinators, Ms. Archana Rani and Ms. Palak Kothari. Students from classes VI to VIII watched a series of German movies and attained a deeper insight into German language, culture and filmmaking skills. The resource person enlightened students about German International Examination (Fit in Deutsch) and the benefits of learning foreign languages. Principal, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra underscored the significance of films in breaking the stereotype in society and encouraged students to learn foreign languages. Pro-Vice Chairman, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar underlined the importance of foreign languages in the age of globalization.
