Celebration of National Science Day at Delhi Public School Gaya

February 28th, 2024

The essence of Science is independent thinking, hard work, and not equipment, quoted the highly acclaimed Indian physicist and Nobel laureate, Sir C V Raman. Delhi Public School Gaya enthusiastically celebrated National Science Day with students from Pre-Nursery to Grade 2, including the Junior Wing. The event showcased the fusion of science and creativity through a variety of engaging activities. The little ones from Pre-Nursery to Prep delved into the Sink or Float Experiment, where young scientists predicted, experimented, and explored the concepts of buoyancy and density, transforming the learning process into a delightful splash of fun! In Class 1, toddlers engaged in the captivating Rainbow in a Jar activity. They crafted miniature rainbows within jars, marveling at the magical blend of colours created through water and cooking oil. This hands-on experience brought the wonders of science to life in an immersive and enjoyable manner. Simultaneously, the young stars of Grade 2 embarked on the intriguing Static Electricity Butterfly experiment. Guided by their teachers, the children created static electricity, reveling in the delightful sight of tissue paper wings sticking to balloons – a fluttering lesson in the marvels of science. The honourable Principal of the school, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra, expressed his appreciation for the exceptional enthusiasm and dedication demonstrated by the young learners during the National Science Day activities. He further emphasized that the creativity and curiosity exhibited by both students and teachers reflect a deep commitment to the spirit of scientific inquiry.
