Inter-House DPS Quiz Competition

Quiz competitions contribute substantially to the intellectual development of students. They get various avenues to contemplate on diverse subjects beyond school curriculum. More than augmenting analytical thinking and strategizing skills of students, quiz competitions boost their confidence level and promote teamwork and collaboration among them. Delhi Public School Gaya accords great emphasis on quizzes as they develop a sense of inquisitiveness in students and strengthens their capacity of self-assessment. The Social Science Department of Delhi Public School Gaya organized an Inter-House DPS Quiz Competition on February 9, 2024. In the closely contested competition, students of classes VI to IX and XI, representing Aryabhatta House, Ashoka House, Buddha House and Chanakya House, participated with unparalleled exuberance. The competition was broadly categorized into four rounds: General Round, Audio Round, Visual Round and Global Brands Identification. The quiz covered questions from diverse topics like world history, dance, music, geography (places in news), sports, awards, scientific awards and discoveries, banking and budget. After an intense competition, Buddha House reigned supreme and secured the first position while Aryabhatta House and Chanakya House earned second and third positions respectively. Honourable Principal of the school, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra felicitated all the position holders with the certificates and medals. He underlined the significance of quiz competitions in the life of students and encouraged them to explore its wider realm. Ultimately, the quiz competition turned out to be a resounding success.
