Independence Day Celebration

With unrestrained displays of nationalistic fervor and patriotism, Delhi Public School Gaya celebrated Indias 77th year of independence on August 15, 2023. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Ram Naresh Sharma, Chairman of Magadh Educational Trust Gaya, along with the Guest of Honour, Dr. S Jamal, Principal of Magadh College of Education, and the Principal of DPS Gaya, Mr. Satyendra Mishra. The unfurling of the Indian Tricolour, followed by a soul stirring rendition of our National Anthem, served as a poignant reminder of the unimaginable sacrifices made by our freedom fighters to liberate us from 200 years of British imperialism. Students, marching to the beat of drums, captivated the audience, rejuvenating the spirit of national pride and patriotism. Following the March Past, the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour were warmly welcomed with floral gestures. Mr. Satyendra Mishra, the Honorable Principal of the school, paid homage in his address to the martyrs of our homeland, who selflessly gave their lives to free our nation from the clutches of British subjugation. He evoked Indias glorious history and encouraged everyone to uphold the sanctity of freedom. He emphasized the significance of this years Independence Day theme, Nation First, Always First. A series of performances enthralled the audience. A Patriotic Group Song presented by students from classes VI to VIII filled the auditorium with a renewed sense of patriotism. A demonstration of various yoga poses by students from classes VI to XII, executed with remarkable finesse, provided an enthralling experience for the audience. Another Patriotic Group Song, performed by students from classes VI to VIII, further invigorated the auditorium with a sense of patriotism. An impeccably executed drama depicted the unparalleled valor and sacrifices of our farmers and soldiers for our beloved motherland, rekindling the spirit of patriotism in all present. Following the cultural extravaganza that enchanted the audience, the results of the Inter-House March Past Competition were announced. Ashoka House and Buddha House were declared joint winners, with Chanakya House securing the second position and Aryabhatta House claiming the third.
