Career Counselling Session at DPS Gaya

Career counselling assumes substantial significance in this era of education when the world is replete with innumerable career options at the disposal of students. A career counsellor plays a significant role in the life of a student who is entangled in the predicament of choosing the most suitable career option for himself/herself. Delhi Public School Gaya organized career counselling sessions for the students of classes VIII, IX and X on July 25, 2023. The resource person of the day was Mr. Vikas Kumar, a renowned career counsellor and founder of Psychographic Society, Ranchi. He also founded Hello Counsellor.com, touted to be India’s first online career counselling portal for IIT, NIT and AIIMS-NEET Aspirants. He encouraged students to be sagacious in figuring out the best career options for them and not to get mired in any inappropriate decision. In the three sessions, he apprised students of innumerable career options based on their preferences. He also exhorted the students not to yield under the unwarranted pressure of the family and the society in making a career option. He also extensively provided the much sought information about various competitive examinations in India and presented various data pertaining to different career options available for students. All the sessions were immensely enriching for the students. Honourable Principal Sir, Mr. Saytendra Mishra urged students to pursue their dreams and work relentlessly to accomplish them. Respected Pro-Vice Chairman Sir, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar encouraged the students to transcend every obstacle for realizing their ambitions and reinforced his commitment to provide them all the facilities at DPS Gaya in their journey to success.
