World Earth Day 2023

Mahatma Gandhi said, “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed.” This quote by Mahatma Gandhi underscores the expediency to promote a harmonious relationship with the mother Earth. Earth Day is an annual celebration across the globe, but at the same time, it exhorts us to maintain the sustainability of our ecosystems on our Mother Earth. To raise awareness about the expediency to save our planet Earth and thank nature for all its bounties, Delhi Public School Gaya celebrated Earth Day on April 20, 2023 with interminable vigour. The event underlined the importance of being vigilant and relentless to safeguard the Mother Earth from further deterioration. Students from Classes Pre Nur to X diligently participated in various activities to uphold the sanctity of this day. Students from classes III to V participated in the Painting Competition to disseminate the message of saving the Mother Earth. Meanwhile, students of classes VI to X brought various hand- made paintings to mark the significance of the day. They were administered a Pledge in their respective classes to be steadfast in safeguarding the Earth from further annihilation. They also participated in Quiz on World Earth Day. Honourable Principal Sir, Mr. Satyendra Mishra highlighted this year’s theme of World Earth Day and emphasized upon the importance of preserving the mother Earth and exhorted all to live in harmony with it. Respected Pro-Vice Chairman Sir, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar reinforced the fact that Earth is the only planet which supports the survival of human beings and we all should work together to protect it.
