Celebration of 74th Republic Day

Dr. B R Ambedkar said, Constitution is not a mere lawyers document, it is a vehicle of life, and its spirit is always the spirit of age. Republic Day marks the ratification of India as a sovereign republic in the wake of embracement of Indias constitution on January 26, 1950. The infallibility of Indian constitution is unquestionable and acts as the fulcrum of democracy in India. Delhi Public School, Gaya celebrated the 74th Republic Day with unparalleled vibrancy. Patriotic fervour was conspicuously palpable on the premises of DPS, Gaya. The celebration assumed more vitality by the gracious presence of the Chief Guest of the event, Shri Ram Naresh Sharma, Chairman, Magadh Educational Trust, Gaya and the Guest of Honour, Dr. S Jamal, Principal, Magadh College of Education, Gaya. The unfurling of tri-colour followed by soulful rendition of the National Anthem augmented the spirit of patriotism. Close on the heels of flag hoisting, the chief guest and other dignitaries were accorded floral welcome. Patriotic song, dance and speech aptly exhibited the spirit of Republic Day celebration. Principal, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra in his address underscored the venerable status of the constitution of India. He highlighted the significance of Republic Day and encouraged students to become the harbinger of a new India. Pro-Vice Chairman, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar underlined the legacy of Indian constitution as the voice of the world’s largest democracy. He also encouraged students to uphold the sanctity of our constitution.
