Educational Trip to Patna Museum

Mark Patterson said, “The best education you’ll get is traveling. Nothing teaches you more than exploring the world and accumulating experiences.” Educational trips are aimed at providing the experience of real life learning to students and enhances their social and interactive skills. It augments their critical thinking and problem solving skills. In order to provide experiential learning to students, Delhi Public School, Gaya organized a visit to Patna Museum for the students of class VIII. Under the supervision of Headmaster, DPS Gaya, Mr. Manish Misra, HOD Social Science, Mr. Atish and HOD Physical Education, Mr. Rajaneesh, along with other teachers, students of class VIII embarked on their journey to Patna Museum from the school at 6:00 pm on November 13, 2022. Students were selected for the trip on the basis of their performance in the Excursion Quiz conducted by the school. Students explored the Orientation Gallery, Children’s Gallery, Regional Gallery, Contemporary Gallery and Bihari Diaspora Gallery. The magnificent galleries boast of innumerable artefacts which give a deeper insight into history. Students actively interacted with each other at the museum. After attaining life learning experience at Bihar Museum, Team DPS Gaya had their meal at Bansi Vihar. Close on the heels of having meal, students and teachers embarked on the return journey to Gandhi Maidan, Gaya. Students were picked up by their parents at the allocated venue at 10:00 pm. The Principal, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra underlined the importance of educational trips for providing real learning experience to students. They encouraged students to enhance their academic performance in order to get selected for such educational trips.
